Pink Rose Manicure
October is breast cancer awareness month, and Aprill at Glitter.Gloss.Garbage is hosting a 30 Days of Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness blog hop to help raise awareness for breast cancer. To participate check out the details on her blog, and you don’t have to do a pink post each day. Just do what you can.
For my pink rose manicure I was inspired to hand paint roses, as I loved how they popped against the pink background. I used Milani Juno as my base color. The roses are quite easy to do, even for a beginner. They are not supposed to be realistic, so no fear about them being ‘perfect.’ For the roses I first did uneven blobs of red with my dotting tool. I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength nail polish in Diamonds & Rubies. I let that dry a few minutes, then used Jesse’s Girl High Intensity nail color in Beach Baby, which is a hot pink. You do need a pigmented color on top. I tried this with a different pink and it didn’t really show. If you don’t like the hot pink just use another that compliments it and is pigmented.
