Shine, Shine Go Away!
I got this in my Influenster Paradise Vox Box, and am always wanting to find products that can help keep my oily skin in check. This is formulated with kaolin clay, which is great for skin (and in the Queen Helene Mint Julep mask that I love). Sadly, this cleanser is a no go for me.
First off, the good things. It is inexpensive, easy to find, cleanses well (for daily cleansing, not makeup removal), and doesn’t dry my skin out.
What I didn’t like is that this is very heavily fragranced. If you follow my blog then you probably guessed what I am going to say next about that. Yes, it broke me out like crazy. And not just my face, down both sides of my neck had what looked like an acne rash. It was bad. BAD.
It didn’t reduce shine. This was basically just your average cleanser, and didn’t pull out anything more from my pores than other cleansers do. Allergic/sensitive skin reaction aside, this just didn’t perform in a way that would make me want to add it to my skin care routine.
Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine Go Away! Shine Minimizing Cleanser retails for $7.99 and can be purchased at drugstores nationwide.
