Milani Nude Creme
As soon as I started seeing swatches popping up online of Milani’s newly reformulated lipsticks I knew this one had to be mine. I love nude lipsticks so much. I prefer them for daily wear, and to wear with smoky eyes.
Nude Creme is a pinky beige in a cream finish. I can see the subtle pink tones in it when I apply it to my lips, though it doesn’t scream pink. I think of it as MAC Blankety’s pink toned sister. It is quite lovely, and feel it works very well with my warm skin tone.
The formula for this is nice and smooth, though it will grab onto any dry patches on your lips. Exfoliated lips are a must with this. The flavor has been improved with the new formula, though I still detect a chemical undertone in it (it doesn’t linger, however). They have added a bit of a fruity scent/flavor that makes this more appealing than the previous lipstick formula.
Wear time is good, lasting between meals without the need for a touch up. I always touch up after eating or drinking, because for me that is a must with anything that is not intended to be long wearing. While not moisturizing, this didn’t dry my lips out.
Overall I love this lipstick. The color is pretty and feminine, and it performs quite well. My only wish is that they could completely get rid of any chemical taste.
Milani Nude Creme retails for $5.49 and can be purchased wherever Milani cosmetics are sold (I purchased mine at Fred Meyer). You can also purchase it direct from the Milani web site (direct link).
