MAC Flatter Me Pearlmatte
So, I bought Cream Soda blush from this collection, and being the makeup addict that I am I also felt I NEEDED the Pearlmattes that coordinated with the blushes from the Archie’s Girls collection. Flatter Me is a warm toned face powder that has a very finely milled shimmer. This is one of those subtle glow products, and I do mean subtle. I got almost no color when applied to my cheeks (I swatched these heavily for review purposes, but did not get that depth of color when applying to my cheek bones), and the sheen on my cheeks was also subtle. I am not a fan of obvious glitter and shine to the cheeks, so for me the glow was very fitting with my own personal makeup style.
The powder itself feels very smooth, maybe even with just the slightest hint of creaminess. I love he hearts in the pan, as they add a really fun element to the powder. The packaging is very cute, and is a sleek white with Betty, Archie, and Veronica printed on it. The printing looks really good, and I am pleased with the quality of the packaging (I have been disappointed with limited edition packaging from their collections in the past).
Overall I really like this and use it as a highlighter. It is possible that very fair skin tones could use this as a light blush, but even then I don’t know how well any color would show up. I would bank on this simply being a highlighter.
MAC Flatter Me Pearlmatte Face Powder retails for $30 and can be found at MAC stores and counters.
