Yes, I got sucked in. I swore to myself that I wouldn’t get sucked into a celebrity beauty venture, but dangit I love the makeup the Kardashians wear and their makeup line seems to really follow the same vein. I bought the Au Naturel nude lip set to see if I could get that sexy pout that I love on Kim.
This set retails for $14.99 and comes with a dual ended lip liner and lipstick, and a honey flavored lip gloss. It is a 3 step lip, though I could get away with 2. I prefer to use the lip liner with gloss on top, though for a more matte look you can do liner and lipstick. I actually think the 3 steps were overkill. I felt like I had way too much on my lips, and it didn’t wear as well with all 3 products on my lips.
When first applied this looks way too light for my skin tone. My lips look too nude. The colors then seem to settle together and work. I don’t know if this is typical or something I am doing. The lip liner and lipstick don’t have a flavor, but the gloss does. It is artificial honey, and quite frankly not a flavor I like. I really hope they change it. I have read a few reviews of this set, and it looks like I am not the only one who doesn’t like it. You may not mind, but just be aware.
Overall I really like this, and the only real con for me was the artificial honey flavor of the gloss.
Khroma Beauty products can be found at Ulta, Ulta.com, Fred Meyer, and K Mart (possibly others stores too, but those are the only ones I know of for sure).
