Jade Energy Holografico Nail Polish
Did I just hear you say OMG? Because that’s what I said when this beauty arrived. Jade Energy is part of the Jade Holografico line of (duh!) holographic nail polishes. I purchased mine from Ninja Polish (I was lucky when I placed my order, as many are OOS right now), and they arrived in a few days. Shipping costs were quite reasonable, and my order went without a hitch. This was only my first order from them, but so far so good!
Jade Energy is a beautiful, gorgeous, eye catching, insert whatever word that means crazy gorgeous blue/green holo. It leans a tad too blue for me to really call it a teal, but it is tealish. Like most holos it looks quite sheer in one coat, and then is a whole new level of awesome on the second coat. With a third coat I did notice that it helped to bring out the subtle green in it that didn’t show as well with two coats.
Application was easy. I had no issues getting thin coats of this. Each layer dried somewhat quickly, which in my experience is typical with holographic nail polishes. Now, as far as durability goes I don’t know what to say. I was quite surprised that on day 4 I still have no chips or tip wear. NONE! However, I am trying a new top coat out, and I don’t know which one contributed to the lasting power. In the past even with a top coat holos can be quite fragile and chip on me between day one and two, but this is going strong. I have been using Sally Hansel Complete Salon Manicure Top Coat (in a clear bottle, looks like it has a hint of green to it) with this, and it seems to be a winning combination.
Jade Energy is freakin’ gorgeous, and I can’t say enough good things about it. It retails for $7.50 per bottle from Ninja Polish, and is worth every penny to me.
