Essence No Better Way To Sky powder blush is a limited edition release as part of Essence’s Legends of the Sky collection. No Better Way To Sky is an orange, somewhat terra cotta powder blush with a very subtle golden shimmer. The shimmer in this is very minimal and very finely milled, so even in bright daylight your cheeks won’t glint like they have glitter on them and won’t look like they have a metallic sheen either. It really just gives you a very gentle glow. The finely milled texture also means it did not emphasize large pores or skin imperfections.
I am quite impressed with the quality of this blush.
Pigmentation on this blush is excellent. Again, I was suprised by this blush. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a blush that costs a mere $2.49 (you read that right!), but this is right up there with my more expensive blushes like MAC and Dior. I would suggest using a fan brush if you are very pale. I used a fluffy blush brush and gently patted it into the pan to avoid over doing it. Becuase of the shade and the level of pigmentation, I don’t think I would be going out on a limb to say that women of color will like this blush.
Wear time on this blush was good too. I wore it for 8 hours, and my cheeks were still glowing when it was time to remove my makeup. Really, I can’t say enough good things about this blush. My only disappointment is that Essence only released this one shade with their Legeneds of the Sky collection. If they had more shades I would have run back to the store and picked them up. I purchased mine at Fred Meyer, and I did spot these at Ulta (not sure if all stores will have this). If terra cottas and oranges suit you, then I wouldn’t hesitate to pick this up.
