CQ Candy Green
Candy green indeed! This polish definitely has a candy color that reminds me of the thin ribbon candy that comes out in the US around Christmas. CQ Candy Green is a light/medium shimmery/foiled minty grass green. It is a bit hard to describe, as it isn’t a typical green. The finish is shimmery, though almost a metallic or foil finish. It definitely has a lot of reflection.
The formula for this nail polish is quite thin. I also find it to be very sheer. I felt I needed at least 3 coats, and perhaps 4 to get rid of any hint of nail tips. The thin formula did make it easy to put on each layer without them gooping up or pulling at the previous layer, though it is still a bit thinner than I personally prefer. I didn’t have any application issues, and the polish seems to self level quite nicely. I do see the faint hint of brush strokes, which is typical with these frostier/foiled looking polishes, but compared to other polishes it is really not enough for me to consider it a con.
Overall I like this polish, but my own personal preference is to save polishes like this that have such a high shine/foiled look for my toes.
CQ Candy Green retails for around $3.99 and is available at many retailers nationwide or from the CQ Web Site
