Conair Firm Hold Bobby Pins
OK, it probably seems odd for me to be reviewing bobby pins, but hear me out. I have quite long, thick, naturally curly hair (you can see a picture of my hair in this post). My hair eats bobby pins. I have trouble getting the bobby pins in my hair, and then when I do they seem to shift around inside my hair or work their way out. I end up having to poke them back into my hair, and over the course of the day my hair gets sloppier and sloppier looking. Enter Conair Firm Hold Bobby Pins.
These are slightly longer than regular bobby pins, and are thicker. They are also very tightly closed. I absolutely adore them, which is why I am going to all the trouble to do a blog post about bobby pins. Instead of having to take multiple regular bobby pins and wear them criss cross to try and keep them in place when I want to wear my hair down but keep the front pulled back, all I need is 1 (yes 1!) of these bobby pins. It doesn’t pull or damage my hair, stays in place (even on windy days), and I use so few of them to do hairstyles. If you have thick, heavy hair (not just curly), then these bobby pins may be just what you’re looking for. I try to avoid ponytails due of the weight of my hair, because over time that can cause traction aloepecia. These pins allow me to keep my hair out of my face without damage over time.
Conair Firm Hold Bobby Pins retail for around $3.49 and can be found near the headbands and barrettes at most drugstores. I believe they are only available in black.

I knew it couldn’t just be my hair lol.
I need these! My hair is long, thick, and regular bobby pins just don’t cut it. I think I’ll keep my eye out for these next time I’m in the beauty section.
